Cruise industry boosted with ultra-luxury ship
The Territory’s cruise industry has reached a significant milestone with the addition of another ultra-luxury expedition ship, Seabourn Pursuit.
Earlier this week, Seabourn Pursuit was welcomed back to its home port of Darwin following its inaugural voyage between Darwin and Broome last month.
Built for immersive and adventure experiences, the ship has capacity for 264 passengers and the same number of crew.
Home porting enables cruise passengers to explore a little further afield and undertake onshore tours in Litchfield and Kakadu national parks or to Arnhem Land.
Check out the NT Cruise Strategy for more information on our booming cruise industry.

NT on display in Japan
Tourism NT’s Japan office has launched an impressive out of home marketing campaign showcasing the Territory across the Japan Railway (JR). The JR Chuo Line, which runs through the centre of Tokyo, is a very crowded commuter line that stops at Shinjuku Station - the busiest station in the world!
Tourism NT’s clever marketing campaign took over one carriage of a train with NT ads across all cars of a 10-car train. The cheeky highjack of JR will provide invaluable exposure of the very best of the NT in one of our key international markets - Japan.
