Aviation update

Qantas Group will launch a new route between Canberra and Darwin on 21 June 2021. The flight will operate five days per week by Alliance Airlines’ E190 jets, initially for the peak season until October 2021, with the potential to extend subject to demand. The airline also announced plans to commence flights between Sydney and Ayers Rock Airport in March 2022. To support the growing demand for domestic tourism, Qantas will operate widebody A330 aircraft on the Sydney to Darwin and Brisbane to Darwin routes over the tourism peak season.

Tickets on Sale - BASSINTHEGRASS 2022

This year’s BASSINTHEGRASS was the Territory’s biggest and best music festival yet. Tickets are now on sale for next year’s event, with 1500 Early Bird tickets snapped up in less than 48 hours. Like this year, 2022 is on track to see thousands of interstate music lovers fill our hotels, hospitality venues and tourism experiences. The festival will take place on 21 May 2022.

Supercars ramps up a gear

The full program and track timings have been confirmed for the Merlin Darwin Triple Crown, and the line-up keeps getting better and better with the Night Transporter Convoy, driver signings, pit lane walk and children’s entertainment all confirmed. Hospitality tickets continue to sell out and a new option, The Terraces, has been added to cater for demand. The event runs from 18-20 June 2021.
